sand.e.eggo day two

14 Mar

so, i’m a tourist.

having grown up in a tourist town that specialized in air brush tee shirts and bungee jumping, you’d think i would have a handle on the urge to carry my camera around on and ready to snap a picture at anything “cute” “fun” or “awesome.” but i don’t. i definitely took a million pictures and sufficiently overused these words today as we wandered the streets of san diego’s old town.

fiesta time

great mexican food. sunshine. lots of color.

i couldn’t help but be giddy.

color therapy

i guess i don’t so much mind being a tourist here. don’t know if that means i’m getting cheesier or just less self-conscious in california.

the welcoming committee

all i know is i now own cactus salt & pepper shakers painted in bright colors in mexico. judge me if you will. they will sit in my kitchen forever.

*** p.s. *** after posting this, we visited In.N.Out. and i had to share my first double, double, fries, and shake experience. excuse the stray hair, huge head, and awkward “i’m never gonna finish this huge burger dan made me order” expression. was a great time!

happy tourist

Oh In-N-Out how I love thee…. I am actually kind of glad they aren’t in the south… kind of.
